Anthropocene

Firefly will present an LA-premiere staged reading of Anthropocene, a new play by Ben Wendel, on Sunday 8/23 at Outside In Theatre. Following on its award-nominated London run, Anthropocene’s special Los Angeles event will be directed by Jennifer Chambers and stars Rosie Yates, Steven Klein, Manny Spero, Tara Karsian, and Zylan Brooks. It is being produced by Heather Holme and Steven Klein.

The spring 2025 installment of Lobby Theatre @ AGBO's "Eat, Drink, PLAY" series of staged readings was THE ANTIPODES, by Annie Baker, in May. The reading was directed by Lobby’s Artist Director, Robin Larsen, produced by Deborah Puette and Steven Klein, and associate produced by Bridget Peterson.

Somewhere in America, a team of pre-teen competitive dancers plots to claw their way to the dream — the championship at Nationals in Tampa Bay…Lobby Theatre @ AGBO’s 2024 event was a staged reading of Clare Barron’s DANCE NATION, a 2019 Pulitzer Prize finalist. The reading starred Marin Hinkle and Justin Kirk, and was directed by Lobby’s Artist Director, Robin Larsen, produced by Deborah Puette and Steven Klein, and associate produced by Aliha Strange.

In Our Blood

A Liberty Films presentation of a Firefly, Aaron Kogan Productions, and Revelations Entertainment production, IN OUR BLOOD – the narrative feature debut of Oscar-nominated documentarian Pedro Kos – follows Emily (Brittany O’Grady), a young filmmaker, as she teams up with cinematographer Danny (E. J. Bonilla) to shoot an intimate documentary about reuniting with Emily's estranged mother after a decade apart.

Is God Is

21 year-old twins Racine and Anaia travel from the Dirty South to the California desert, on a mission to avenge their mother’s past in IS GOD IS, by Aleshea Harris. A staged reading of IS GOD IS starring Jayme Lawson, Regina Taylor, and Dominique Thorne, directed by Lobby’s Artist Director, Robin Larsen, and produced by Andrew Carlberg and Firefly’s Steven Klein will be the inaugural event of the new Lobby Theatre.
